LAAX OPEN 2019: EUROPE’S PREMIUM SNOWBOARD CONTEST IS UNDERWAY
LAAX, SUI (15.01.19) – Riders from all around the world arrived in LAAX for the annual LAAX OPEN, which kicked off yesterday. LAAX stands for Freestyle like no other resort in the world and spectators can expect to watch the best of the best this week in LAAX battling it out for the prestigious Halfpipe and Slopestyle titles.

The LAAX OPEN week started off well yesterday with everyone enjoying fresh powder in the resort. From today onwards the focus is on the Halfpipe and Slopestyle with first trainings taking place. Top riders like Olympic Gold medalists Chloe Kim (USA), Anna Gasser (AUT) and Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), previous OPEN winners Stale Sandbech (NOR) and Arielle Gold (USA) and many more rider from 25 countries are in LAAX to compete in the Snowboard World Cup. The Slopestyle finals are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 18th, 2019, culminating in the absolute highlight, the first ever Superpipe night finals on Saturday, Jan. 19th, 2019.
High-quality sports events combined with exploring the resort, followed by visiting the Hangar, Riders Hotel or the event village at rocksresort – a LAAX visit is worthwhile.
