The 2025 Uninvited Euro Open redefines the game

THE 2025 UNINVITED EURO OPEN - Presented by Union Binding Co. & CAPiTA Snowboards
MAYRHOFEN, AUSTRIA – Coming back for round two, and elevating the game from a qualifying competition to an open, The Uninvited Euro Open and its riders did not disappoint. Officially wrapped at Penken Park, athletes were delivering a weekend of jaw-dropping progression and unforgettable moments in women’s streetstyle snowboarding. With Saturday’s competition 59 riders from Poland, Germany, Spain, and all across Europe and Scandinavia came together to push women’s snowboarding forward, battling for a share of the €10,000 prize purse and a coveted invite to The Uninvited Invitational at Woodward Park City, USA.
The decision to transition from a qualifier to an “Open” was a direct reflection of the progression seen from last year’s event. “Girls showed up from all over the continent to prove they deserve this opportunity, and it made all the effort of putting on the event so worth it! The riding here is on another level and the momentum keeps on building. We uncovered even more hidden gems that will be receiving an invite to compete in America this April for the big prize purse and global recognition," said founder Jess Kimura.
Claiming the top spot was Emma Lacarrère, who went big and put down an array of tricks — her performance taking home the win. Joining her on the podium with another breakout performance was Marie Kuhlman, at just 14 years old, she wow’d the crowd with her technical trick selection and style putting her into second place. Rounding out the podium and securing her invite to Woodward Park City was crowd favorite Sophia Schroll, whose style and consistency made her a standout throughout the event.
The competition showcased high caliber riding, with riders throwing down in an hour-long Qualifying Jam before the field was cut in half for an intense 90-minute Finals Jam. More than half of this year’s competitors were fresh faces, proving that the next generation of streetstyle snowboarders is stronger than ever.
Despite a low snow season, Penken Park provided an incredible course that allowed the riders to showcase their talent. Alongside the podium finishers, additional awards recognized standout moments of the event:
Best Trick — Maija Hokkanen hailing from Finland threw down a frontside creeper transfer backboard to claim the Best Trick title.
The Heart Award — Anna Lindsdottir hard-charged her way into winning The Heart Award, embodying the relentless spirit of the event.
Best Slam — Zoi Roffi took some heavy hits but earned Best Slam after lacing a slew of impressive riding before going down.
Unlike other snowboard contests, The Uninvited stands out as a groundbreaking platform for female riders dedicated to pushing the boundaries of streetstyle snowboarding. More than just a competition, it’s a movement to redefine what’s possible in women’s snowboarding while creating a space for those who continue to elevate and to support the sport. Reflecting on what it would mean to get a spot for The Uninvited Invitational finals in the U.S., Spanish rider Paula Benito shared, “It would mean so much—one of the most important things you could win.”
That same spirit carried into The Uninvited Community Ride Day, where Jess and fellow CAPiTA team rider Paula spent the day sharing tricks and tips with all the ladies who wanted to join in. With CAPiTA Snowboards and Union Binding Co. offering free demos and the setup stationed at the base of Grillhof Alm, it was the perfect scene to ride, hang out, and soak it all in.
As the weekend wrapped up, it was clear that The Uninvited is more than just an event—it’s a space where riders can show up and be part of movement. A huge thank you goes out to the resort staff, park crew, athletes, judges, spectators, and industry supporters who helped bring it all to life. This wouldn’t happen without you.
With The Uninvited Euro Open officially in the books, the top three finishers are now set to take on The Uninvited Invitational finals in the USA, where they’ll compete for a $60,000 USD prize purse and the chance to showcase their talent on a global stage.
