Firefly Distillery to host the ultimate winter throwdown on Saturday, January 10 with more snow, larger features, and an all-new large video screen so crowds won’t miss a single trick
The Mex 1 Rail Jam, which started as small jam among friends using zambonied ice from the local hockey rink to create makeshift ramps and features, has turned into one of the hottest snowboarding rail jams in the Southeast. This Saturday, Mex 1 and Firefly Distillery have teamed up again to put on a night of high-energy snowboarding, live music, and full-on winter vibes that’s getting bigger in every way – with more snow and features twice the size as last year.
Snowboarders from all over the country including some who call the Lowcountry home, like former pro snowboarder Chauncey Tanton and NC-based returning champion, Jacob Davis will be on hand to throw down insane flips, spins, and rail tricks on a custom-built features as they wow the expected crowd of thousands and compete for the top prize.
Calling all the live action will be legendary X Games broadcaster and snowboarding expert, Jimmy Coleman. In addition to snowboarding, local legends Strawberry Squad will keep the energy high all night long with their signature DJ-driven set.
