Saturday - December 6th, Shuttleberg Flachauwinkl/Kleinarl
Thanks to early snowfall and cold temperatures, Shuttleberg and Absolut Park will kick off the new season this coming Saturday under perfect conditions. Right at the start, the new Anna Gasser Signature Jump on the Pro Line’s 5-kicker will be opened as part of her Olympic preparation. With the Jib King Rail Contest scheduled for mid-December, the first major competition is already on the horizon—followed by a series of additional events, including the legendary Spring Battle and a FIS Snowboard World Cup.

The new snowboard season in Absolut Park picks up exactly where it left off: with innovative park features, tireless shaping, numerous events and 100% commitment to freestyle culture, Absolut Park at Shuttleberg continues to set new standards. At the request of team rider Anna Gasser, a special feature will be installed in the Pro Line this year to support her Olympic preparation. The take-off on the Slopestyle Line’s 5th kicker is being built precisely to her specifications and implemented together with the Absolut Park shapers. This gives her—and the international snowboard elite—a unique opportunity to prepare specifically for the challenges of the Olympic slopestyle course. The new take-off on the big kicker of the Pro Line will be ready in time for the opening.
Absolut Park also has a spectacular setup ready for all non-pros right at the start of the season: the Medium Line, the Jib Park, and at least two jumps of the Pro Line will already be open, among other features.
JIB KING – Amateur & Pro Contest
Just one week later, the handrails on the stairset in front of the Chill House will be heating up. The Jib King Contest on 13thand 14th December is listed as the highest-rated elite rail competition in the overall WSPL ranking. Registration is already open for snowboarders in the amateur and pro divisions. Along with valuable world ranking points, the outstanding setup will once again attract numerous top stars of the scene to Shuttleberg. The finals will be streamed live on YouTube.

SPRING BATTLE & FIS Snowboard World Cup in March
After last year’s huge success, it was quickly decided that the combination of the Spring Battle Slopestyle Event and the FIS Snowboard World Cup will return in mid-March. Since 2002, Spring Battle has taken place annually at Absolut Park Flachauwinkl and has grown into the most established contest in the independent WSF snowboard scene. With its follow-cam jam-session format—where the world’s best snowboarders are filmed by cameramen and high-speed drones—entirely new possibilities open up for delivering the perfect run.As in the previous year, Spring Battle will transition directly into the FIS Snowboard World Cup—an exceptional opportunity for athletes to score double points and double prize money on the same course.
Beyond Jib King and Spring Battle, the packed Absolut Park event calendar offers one highlight after another. Sunday Laps are specifically aimed at all women in the freestyle snowboard and freeski community, offering shared sessions in the park. And all passionate snowboarders who prefer riding without airtime—but with speed, flow, and technical precision—will get their money’s worth in the steep walls of the legendary Banked Slalom.
